Pay: $2644/week (plus $2500 completion bonus per contract up to $7500 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Davis CA on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will play a critical role in the surgical team by delivering high-quality efficient and safe perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical procedures. The ideal candidate has strong OR experience the ability to remain calm under pressure and excellent communication skills to coordinate care in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments equipment and supplies are sterile and ready.
Monitor patients before during and after surgical procedures.
Assist surgeons during operations by handling instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
Act as a patient advocate by ensuring safety comfort and confidentiality throughout the perioperative process.
Collaborate with surgical teams anesthesiologists and post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) staff.
Accurately document nursing care surgical events and patient responses.
Follow established protocols for infection control and surgical site safety.
Ensure compliance with all hospital policies procedures and standards of care.
Qualifications
Current and valid RN license in California (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 12 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); CNOR preferred.
Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating roles for various surgical specialties.
Exceptional organizational critical thinking and communication skills.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
