Job Summary
Pediatric Physical Therapist - Travel Position
Location: Olympia WA
Job Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 28 weeks
Shift: 5x8s
Pay: $2244/week
Completion Bonus: Up to $7500 total. (You will receive $2500 after the successful completion of each of your first 3 contracts with us)
Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Pediatric Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide evaluation and treatment to infants children and adolescents with physical developmental or neurological challenges. This role focuses on helping young patients achieve optimal mobility strength and independence through individualized care plans and evidence-based interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate pediatric patients to assess motor skills strength balance and functional mobility.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to promote movement independence and overall physical development.
- Use a variety of therapeutic techniques including exercises play-based interventions and assistive equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians occupational therapists speech-language pathologists and caregivers to ensure coordinated care.
- Educate parents and families on home exercise programs and strategies to support ongoing progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluations treatments and patient progress in accordance with facility and state regulations.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to individualized education or care plans as needed.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Active state Physical Therapy license
- Previous pediatric experience required (inpatient outpatient or school-based)
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication observation and interpersonal skills
- Passion for working with children and families to promote functional growth and independence
