Marketing & Promotions Assistant Student Opportunity for 2026/27

Are you creative organized and interested in marketing or communications NAITSA is hiring a Marketing & Promotions Assistant to support on-campus promotions social media content and student-facing campaigns.
This role is ideal for students who want hands-on marketing experience enjoy being involved in campus life and are excited to help promote programs and services that support the student community.
There are 2 positions available for the 2026/27 academic year.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Communications Director responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
On-Campus Promotions and Events:
- Support the Communications team in setting up and managing promotional booths around campus
- Participate in street team activities to promote NAITSAs campaigns throughout the academic year
Social Media and Content Support:
- Collaborate with the Social Media Marketing Specialist to develop and schedule engaging content for NAITSAs social media platforms
- Assist with content creation and help monitor social media trends
Visual Marketing and Campus Presence:
- Maintain NAITSA poster boards around campus
Update physical poster boards on main campus on a weekly basis or as needed in accordance with NAITSAs poster board policies
General Marketing Support:
- Assist with additional marketing and promotions tasks based on departmental needs and the successful candidates skills interests and availability
Other:
- Other duties may be assigned based on marketing needs and the successful candidates skills interests and availability.
Qualifications & Considerations
Eligibility and Availability:
- Must be a current NAIT student enrolled for the full 2026/27 academic year until at least April 2027
- Preference for candidates with a flexible schedule with ideal availability between 11am2pm on weekdays for promotional booths
- Poster board shifts are flexible and can be adjusted to the candidates class schedule
- Must be available for shifts during peak periods including NAIT Student Orientation and Service Fair
Skills and Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous work experience in marketing social media management and/or promotions is considered an asset
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently
- Reliable and dependable to attend scheduled shifts and meet deadlines
Working Conditions:
- Average 10 hours per week with some flexibility depending on the required tasks
- Must be comfortable to be in front of a camera and have your likeness online
- Physical requirements include walking main campus to update poster boards lifting up to 25 lbs repetitive motions standing for long periods
