Job Summary:
Assesses plans implements and evaluates activities planning for an assigned service or population.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with community partner leaders an staff to assess learning needs.
- Develops implements and evaluates educational plans/programs which may utilize methods measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
- Provides technical assistance and leadership to community healthcare professionals as related to education programs and/or quality improvement (QI) projects.
- Identifies and/or develops teaching tools and instructional materials.
- Keeps records of educational activities and prepares reports.
- Applies the existing body of evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge in health care to nursing practice ensuring that nursing care is delivered based on patients age-specific needs and clinical needs as described in the departments scope of service.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelors degree in Nursing with a nursing certification in a related field (to be obtained within 6 months of hire) or Masters degree in Nursing
EXPERIENCE
- Five years registered nurse experience in the field of position applied for.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting standing walking reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms malfunctioning machinery etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending stooping kneeling squatting twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
