The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical UniversityPrescott is seeking an innovative student-centered and strategically minded Director of Housing and Residence Life to lead an expanding residential program during an exciting period of institutional growth. Serving as the Senior Housing Officer and a key member of the Division of Student Affairs Leadership Team the Director provides vision direction and executive leadership for a dynamic department.

With multiple new residential facilities housing over 300 additional beds coming online next year this role offers an exceptional opportunity to build shape and elevate a thriving residential experience at a nationally recognized institution. The Director will oversee a current portfolio of over 1400 beds a talented team of eight full-time professionals and 50 student staff.

Position Details

This is a full-time 12-month live-off position with on-call responsibilities that plays a pivotal role in the student experience and campus infrastructure planning. The Director will have the unique opportunity to influence campus culture advance strategic initiatives and help shape the next era of residential living at Embry-Riddle Prescott.

Qualifications

Required Education and Qualifications:

• Master Degree - Student Affairs Educational Leadership/Administration Counseling.
• 5-10 Years of Experience in college or university housing and/or residence life operations
• Strong organizational supervisory administrative and technology skills Experience with online records management software (Maxient THD and/or others)
• Experience supervising full-time professional staff
• Experience in on-call/emergency response rotation
• Experience as a student conduct officer

Preferred Qualifications:

Threat assessment training/certification
Involvement in local state and/or national professional housing and residence life organization(s)
