Job Summary
Job Title: ServiceNow CMDB SME / Integration Specialist
Location: Onsite - San Francisco CA
Employment Type: Contract
Experience Required: 6-8 Years
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced ServiceNow CMDB Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Integration Specialist to lead the design governance and optimization of CMDB within a large enterprise environment.
This role will serve as the CMDB design authority driving alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) establishing governance standards and architecting integrations across cloud monitoring and asset management platforms.
Key Responsibilities
CMDB Architecture & Design

Define and maintain the CMDB data model ensuring alignment with CSDM framework.

Design and govern CI classes relationships and lifecycle management processes.

Architect and implement ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping (horizontal and top-down).
Governance & Data Quality

Establish and enforce CMDB governance standards data ownership models and quality controls.

Monitor and improve CMDB Health (completeness correctness compliance).

Define policies for CI reconciliation normalization and data lifecycle management.
Integration & Platform Alignment

Design integrations between CMDB and cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP) monitoring tools and asset management systems.

Ensure accurate data synchronization between CMDB ITSM and related modules.

Support enterprise architecture initiatives and platform modernization efforts.
Stakeholder Engagement

Act as the CMDB SME and design authority for stakeholders and delivery teams.

Provide technical leadership best practices and governance recommendations.

Support large-scale enterprise CMDB transformation initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB in enterprise environments.

Deep understanding of the CSDM framework.

Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping.

Expertise in using CMDB Health Dashboard and governance metrics.

Knowledge of infrastructure application and cloud environments (AWS Azure GCP).

Experience designing CMDB solutions for large complex enterprises.

Strong analytical documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
