The Role:

  • EY Ireland is seeking to recruit an exceptional candidate to join our Corporate Communications team (as part of our external communications team)
  • The successful candidate will join a fun hardworking collaborative and successful team helping us to deliver high impact media releases and messaging across a wide range of campaigns and media projects.
  • The successful applicant will be curious have excellent writing skills a keen eye for detail a creative flair and will be very well organised. They will be capable of working on their own initiative and as part of a team and they will enjoy working in fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • This role will be based at EY Irelands office in Dublin 2.

Your key responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of external communication strategies to enhance the firms reputation and visibility.
  • Help prepare and coordinate communications materials including press releases reactive media commentary articles for media placement etc
  • Engage with national regional and trade media daily regarding EY coverage.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of media events including photocalls and press briefings.
  • Monitor media coverage and provide analysis and reports to senior management.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Communications team

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role you must have:

  • At least 2 years of experience in journalism PR agency or in house communications
  • A curious mind and a passion for media in all its forms from national and international publications through to regional and trade media.
  • Good media relations skills and ideally a network of media contacts.
  • Proven ability to contribute creative ideas to the team in campaign planning and in the creation of content.
  • Compelling written and verbal communications skills excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with people at all levels across all areas of the business.
  • Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure and to tight timelines as required.
  • An interest in and experience of leveraging technology to work efficiently.

Ideally you will also have

  • 3rd level qualification and/or relevant professional qualifications
  • Previous experience in an organisation of significant scale
  • Experience working with Generative AI (for example Microsoft Copilot)
