We are hiring a Clinical Nurse Manager/Senior Nurse to lead a nursing home in Wexford Ireland.
Contract Type-Permanent Full-time
Responsibilities
Ensure that the provision of a high standard of care to residents and their families in the unit is consistent with the mission vision values and strategic plan of the Nursing Home.
Recognise each resident as an individual ensuring that residents rights needs and comfort are prioritised always.
Develop therapeutic relationships with residents that promote autonomy informed choice and evidence-based decision-making.
Promote and maintain resident safety while respecting privacy dignity and individual rights.
Maximise each residents capacity to exercise personal autonomy and choice in all aspects of daily living.
Support residents in maintaining their sense of identity and actively involve them in decision-making whenever possible.
Ensure the Nursing Home operates in a manner that respects and upholds equality and diversity including age gender sexual orientation disability family status civil status race religious beliefs and ethnic and cultural background.
Plan assess and deliver person-centred care in collaboration with the Multidisciplinary Care Team to optimise resident outcomes and independence.
Requirements
Be a Registered General Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse on the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI) or be eligible for such registration.
Provide evidence of continuous professional development (CPD).
Minimum of 2 years post-graduate nursing experience including experience working at Senior Staff Nurse or Acting Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) level.
Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Gerontology (desirable).
Possess relevant management qualifications.
Demonstrate significant experience in Gerontology.
Have experience in Psycho-Geriatric Nursing Care Psychiatry or Adult Disability services.
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the ageing process and the complex needs of older people.
Possess strong IT skills including competence in healthcare documentation systems and Microsoft Office applications.
