The Role:

In this role you will support the Environmental Management Group on contaminated land and environmental due diligence projects across NSW Government property holdings. Your work will play a key part in identifying environmental risks informing property and project decisions and supporting the effective management of contamination issues.

You will include preparing due diligence reviews and coordinating more detailed investigations by engaging and managing external consultants. This includes reviewing investigation proposals overseeing consultant deliverables. The role also involves providing environmental expertise to support the planning delivery and continuous improvement of environmental risk management across a wide range of projects.

Collaboration is essentialyou will work closely with technical specialists consultants and partner NSW Government agencies to ensure highquality fitforpurpose outcomes.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Demonstrated experience in contaminated land assessment investigation and remediation
  • Strong understanding of relevant NSW environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Ability to review technical proposals and reports ensuring they meet project requirements and deliver highquality outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills to share technical information clearly and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work manage competing deadlines and adapt to changing project demands.
  • Experience working collaboratively with consultants and team members to deliver accurate timely environmental assessment outcomes.

Essential Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in environmental science environmental engineering geology hydrogeology or related discipline.
  • A current and valid NSW driver licence.
