We are currently recruiting an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen at a well-established coastal hotel in County Antrim. This role sits within a large hospitality group offering excellent long-term career progression and development opportunities.

The current Head Chef is relocating after many successful years with the business which reflects the positive culture and stability of the hotel.

The Role

As Head Chef you will be a key member of the hotels management team working collaboratively to deliver an exceptional dining experience that keeps guests coming back. Creativity leadership and passion for fresh food are central to this role.

You will have the freedom to introduce innovative globally inspired dishes while making the most of locally sourced seasonal produce.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead manage and develop the kitchen team
  • Plan and cost menus with a strong focus on seasonality and creativity
  • Maintain and improve kitchen KPIs
  • Manage food costs margins and wastage
  • Ensure full compliance with HACCP and food safety standards
  • Train mentor and develop kitchen staff
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage ordering
  • Oversee general kitchen HR duties including rota planning and performance management
  • Work closely with senior management to drive customer satisfaction

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or strong Senior Sous ready to step up
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills
  • Excellent knowledge of food cost control and menu engineering
  • Passion for fresh high-quality food and creativity
  • Solid understanding of HACCP and kitchen compliance
  • A positive hands-on management style
