Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Specialist to provide expert-level perioperative care for surgical patients. This role involves administering anesthesia managing critically ill patients monitoring vital signs during procedures and ensuring patient safety throughout surgical interventions. The ideal candidate will have advanced anesthesia expertise ICU experience familiarity with cardiac procedures and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Management
Deliver safe evidence-based anesthesia care for patients undergoing a variety of surgical procedures including general regional spinal and epidural anesthesia.
Assess and prepare patients pre-operatively including reviewing medical histories risk factors and relevant diagnostics.
Monitor patients intraoperatively managing airway hemodynamics and anesthetic depth throughout procedures.
Provide post-anesthesia care ensuring smooth recovery pain management and patient safety.
Collaborate with surgeons ICU teams and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of anesthesia care vital signs and medications.
Participate in emergency anesthesia interventions for trauma or critical cases.
Leadership & Mentorship
Guide and supervise junior anesthesia staff and residents in clinical practice and procedural skills.
Contribute to training programs workshops and clinical discussions to promote professional development.
Collaboration & Communication
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons nurses and ICU specialists to ensure comprehensive perioperative care.
Communicate clearly with patients and families about anesthesia procedures risks and post-operative care.
Education Research & Professional Development
Compliance & Quality Assurance
Adhere to hospital policies medical ethics and regulatory standards for patient safety.
Identify and mitigate clinical risks participating in incident reporting and quality improvement initiatives.
Develop and monitor standard operating procedures for anesthesia services.

Required Skills & Experience
Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD/MBBS) with specialization in Anesthesiology.
Minimum 5 years of clinical anesthesia experience including ICU and perioperative care.
Experience providing anesthesia for cardiac or high-risk surgical procedures is highly desirable.
Valid medical license to practice as an Anesthesia Specialist.
Strong critical thinking decision-making and emergency management skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in the GCC or international healthcare settings.
Experience in teaching mentoring or academic anesthesia settings.
Exposure to multidisciplinary surgical teams and complex clinical environments.
