Job Summary

Why your role matters

The Academic Offerings Consultant works as part of a team that is responsible for the effective operational oversight development and ongoing support of academic offering processes policies systems and services within the Division of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Quality). Positioned within the Academic Offerings Team the role reports to the Manager Academic Offerings and does not have any direct reports.

Specific accountabilities include:

  • Review academic proposals within the curriculum management system and provide detailed expert advice to a range of stakeholders through interpretation of policy as well as editorial advice and support with systems workflows and approvals.
  • Work with the team to develop and maintain systems procedures and guidelines to ensure a consistent approach to academic administration business processes.
  • Support compliance with relevant policies procedures and legislation.
  • Deliver effective operational management and support of UNSWs academic offerings governance record keeping and publishing services and systems.

About You:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education training and experience.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and the ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise influence and guide staff.
  • Highly advanced interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated experience providing effective customer service and support to clients at all levels.
  • Highly proficient computer literacy with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications Experience with curriculum management and student systems would be beneficial.
  • Ability to plan organise and co-ordinate projects and tasks.
  • An understanding of and commitment to UNSWs aims objectives and values in action together with relevant policies and guidelines.
