Overview:

Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring a Manager Cardiac Vascular Interventional radiology (CVIS)

The Manager CVIS will assume responsibility and accountability for operations and success. Responsible and accountable for the daily operations of one or more clinical areas. Models and leads professional practices consistent with organizational goals of safety customer satisfaction and quality for the area of expertise. Supervises staff provides clinical/ technical expertise and engages in process improvements. Assists in the fiscal budgeting and management process for the department including billing/revenue management payroll purchasing and supply cost management. Performs work assignments as needed to provide coverage and to mentor or assist staff. Interviews hires and develops team members with the goal of developing a highly effective work team. Engages in talent retention strategies for the area(s) of responsibility.

Strong clinical care knowledge base in area of expertise. BLS required within 90 days

3 years supervisory experience required

Masters level degree in nursing preferred.

Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk VA is a 274-bed acute care facility that opened in 1903 and relocated to its present site in 1977. Along with being a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence we also specialize in orthopedic and spine care heart vascular maternity care and general surgery. We are also home to the regions only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning wounds that wont heal infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen airborne chemical exposures and scuba diving accidents.
