Candidates based in the DallasFort Worth (DFW) area will be hired in a hybrid capacity and are expected to work onsite at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week with the remaining days worked remotely. AsSenior Clinical Data Engineer you will play a pivotal role in designingimplementingand managing our datasolutionsand advanced analytics. This rolerequiresmulti-focusexpertiseinbothclinical areasand data engineering.This rolewillinclude activities such asanalyzing data designing solutions partnering withother data experts to architect complex solutionsimplementingdata systems and development of scalable solutions that support business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Bridge the gapofclinical and technical for theData Enablement team as weinterfaceand meet the goals of various clinical teams within US Oncology.
Collaboratewith subject matter experts departmentleadersandstakeholdersleveragingexpertiseto help drive better solutions
Drives development of ETL code metadata definitions and models queries and reports schedules workprocessesand maintenance procedures.
Basic data set analytics to support review of data quality understanding of KPIs and associations with other 3rdparty data sets
Task automation with a focus on limiting risk by limiting manual activities
Leverageclinicalsubject matterexpertiseto enhance data sets
Self-start whocanwork independently and prioritize development and enhancement requests
Assistwith various documentationtasks supportingdata solutions
Ensurescompliance with regulatory requirements for data transmission storage and data access including documentation testing and remediation.
MinimumRequirement:
Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7 years of relevant experience.
Education:
Bachelors degree inComputerScience(or related) with clinical work experience or Pharmaceutical Sciences (or related) with data analytics work experience.
Critical Skills:
7 yearsof experience in data analytics ETL development computerscienceor related field.
7 years of experienceworking with clinical data
7 years experience in database systems
Experience with modern database systemssuch asSnowflake or Databricks
Experience indashboard creation in systems like Tableau andPowerBI
Experience working with clinical data sets such as claims datain-office dispensing data or EHR data
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
Must be comfortable and proficient working with large and/or complex databases
Ability to manage and prioritize many diverse technical tasks
Self-starter withproven care for managing sensitive data assets
Ability tointerface withboth technical and business resources
Ability to translate clinical requirements into technical solutions
Experience withDatabricksa plus.
Knowledge of HIPAA deidentification or other health informatics areasa plus.
Up to 10% travel.
