Job Summary
Staff Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Accounting/Fianance
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
SALARY: $50000-$60000
PRIMARY LOCATION: Denton Tx
JOB TYPE: Full-Time
Position Summary: The Staff Accountant role is responsible for a range of general clerical accounting and bookkeeping support functions in the company. The Staff Accountant will assist with and own balance sheet reconciliations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required in accounting preferred.
- Prior experience in accounting specifically health care experience is a bonus.
- Microsoft Office Suite proficient typing skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries including accrual entries fixed asset entries and payroll entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts at month-end and analyze.
- Maintain fixed assets module ensuring agreement between the general ledger and subledger sufficient support is retained and depreciation schedules are accurate.
- Assist with compliance reporting including annual external audit 401k audit and tax preparation.
- Perform accounting financial and administrative tasks as required by CFO Controller or Assistant Controller.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
