Overview:

Sentara is hiring a Part-time Pharmacy Technician for our Outpatient Pharmacy at Obici Hospital in Suffolk VA.

Location: Sentara Obici Hospital - Suffolk VA

Status: Part-time (28 hours per week) Mon-Fri

Shift/Hours:

Mon Tues Wed 11am-4pm

Thurs 9am-3pm

Fri 11am-5pm

$2500 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates!

The Pharmacy Technician performs care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.

• Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner

• Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care

• Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technicians scope of practice as needed

• Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information

• Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements

• Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately

• In addition to the above job responsibilities other duties may be assigned.

• A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Certification/Licensure

• Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)

• CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Required)

Experience

• One Year Pharmacy Tech Experience (Preferred)
