The Director of Planned Giving reports to the Assistant Vice Chancellor of Planned Giving and is responsible for qualifying cultivating soliciting and stewarding high level prospects capable of making major planned gifts to Washington University. This position is within the Office of Planned Giving and is part of the Development Vertical. Travel is required.Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for university planned and deferred gift activity including qualification cultivation solicitation and stewardship of a portfolio of 60 donors and prospects in an assigned geographic addition to planned giving activities assists in major and principal gift solicitations. Specific gift production and donor contact goals will be established on an annual basis.
- The Director of Planned Giving will work closely with all levels of development officers in a territory to ensure short and long-term fundraising success and will coordinate with the territory Executive Director in reaching the planned giving total for the territory. Serve as a resource for all planned giving activities and presentations. The position will also work closely with subject matter experts in the Philanthropic Strategy Vertical to meet the fundraising priorities of the Danforth Campus schools Medicine programs university priorities university initiatives and Principal Gifts team to identify cultivate solicit close and steward principal gift prospects.
- The Director of Planned Giving will help to create and foster a culture of collaboration and teamwork that celebrates outcomes builds individual and team capacity and ensures that WashU UA is a preferred workplace.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

$84200.00 - $148500.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including ones qualifications and performance equity with others in the department market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.Questions
