Position Summary

Engineering is a core discipline at F5 for many roles.As asoftware engineerspecializing in products and services you will bring a modern agile development mindset to your work.

As aSenior SDEyouwillbe responsible fordeveloping configuring andenhancingsoftware applications andservicesin the Quote to Order domain.Incorporating engineering best practices into the design coding testing debugging documenting and support of software and service solutionsyouwillwork with other engineersand other teamsto developnewsolutionsandtechnologies anduse the same rigor to refine existing solutions as needed.

• Apply modern engineering principles and practices to solution delivery and employ thisrigorthroughout the full software lifecycle; frominitialconcept and architecture through deploymentas well as whilerefining existingsystems and solutions.

• Take ownership of complex technical problems and work with otherengineersto find innovative solutions that meetboth technical standards and business needs.

• Provide leadershipin following engineering best practices including all phases of the process from design todeployment.

• Designbuild andmaintainhighly complexsolutionswithasecurityfirst mindset.

• Provide technical leadership in designing developing and reviewing solutions.

• Provide leadership inteam growth including recruitment interviewing and onboarding of new team members.

• Be responsible forthesoftwarearchitecture and design of complexsolutions.

• Participate and provide leadership intranslatingrequirementsinto scalable and robust software designs.

• Provide technical guidance and mentorship toSDEcommunity to ensure that the solutions are scalable performant and maintainable.

• Proactivelyseek outopportunities forarchitectural improvements optimizations and innovations.

• Work with otherengineerstoidentifyareas for improvement assessnew technologies and help shape the direction of the organizations technical roadmap.

• Responsible for upholding F5s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• BS/BA or equivalent work experience

• 8yearsengineeringexperience in supporting or implementingOracle CPQ or other similar quotingtool.

• Proven ability to develop and deliver software solutions.

• Advanced knowledge in several high-level languages experience with at least one low-level language preferred.

• Experience working in agile and lean software development.

• Knowledge of Subscriptions (Oracle CPQs Assets Based Ordering preferred)

• Experience leading andparticipatingin complex projects.

• Prefer experience with Oracle BML and JavaScript.

• Prefer certification with any of these vendors: Oracle CPQ / Salesforce CPQ / Apttus CPQ / SAP CPQ

• Prefer experience using SOAP or REST APIs (XML and JSON knowledge)
