Description
As a Commercial Excellence Business Intelligence Analyst based in Cluj you will play a vital role in transforming commercial data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making across Europe. You will design maintain and optimize Power BI solutions ensure data quality and governance and collaborate closely with Commercial Excellence and Sales Enablement teams. Your work will directly enhance sales productivity pipeline visibility country performance analytics and broader commercial growth initiatives.
In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Power BI Development & Ownership
Power BI Development & Ownership
- Design build and maintain Power BI dashboards datasets and semantic data models supporting Europe Commercial Excellence growth enablers (sales productivity country funnel management pipeline analytics growth accounts country performance trends etc.).
- Develop advanced DAX measures calculated tables and optimized data models using bestpractice modeling principles (star schema fact/dimension structures).
- Create and manage Power Query transformations to ensure clean reliable and efficient data flows.
- Optimize performance by reducing dataset size tuning DAX logic and improving refresh efficiency.
- Publish manage and govern Power BI Service content including workspaces permissions scheduled refreshes and rowlevel security (RLS).
Data Quality Governance & Documentation
- Ensure accuracy consistency and alignment of commercial KPIs across all BI assets.
- Maintain clear documentation for data sources calculations metrics and reporting logic.
- Collaborate with IT and Data Engineering teams to enhance upstream pipelines data structures and automation efforts.
- Apply governance practices related to certified datasets naming conventions version control and documentation standards.
Commercial Data Analysis
- Build reusable data models and KPI frameworks that support long-term commercial excellence initiatives.
- Use data and BI tools to generate actionable insights that inform strategic business decisions.
Stakeholder Engagement & Insight Delivery
- Partner with Commercial Excellence Leadership and Sales Enablement specialists to understand business needs and translate them into BI solutions.
- Present insights clearly through well-designed dashboards and concise business-focused storytelling.
- Engage with users to define requirements and deliver intuitive relevant reporting solutions.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Monitor usage metrics and feedback to continuously improve report usability and value.
- Stay current with new Power BI and Microsoft Fabric capabilities and evaluate their applicability.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes using Power BI Dataflows or RPA.

For This Role You Will Need:

- Hands-on expertise with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
- Strong DAX modeling and optimization skills.
- Advanced Power Query/M transformation capabilities.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles (star schema fact/dimension tables relationships incremental refresh).
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Experience with content governance certified datasets workspace administration and RLS.
- Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure SQL Synapse or Data Factory (beneficial).
Commercial & Analytical Skills
- Ability to translate business needs into scalable BI solutions.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Experience interpreting and communicating data insights to business stakeholders.
Experience Requirements
- Experience in a business intelligence or data analysis role.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a mediumtolarge organization or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Understanding of the leadtocash process and related commercial workflows.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and Oracle-based datasets.
- Experience working in an international or matrix environment.
