Position Summary:
Follows established protocols and guidelines while performing a wide variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Responsible for the production of high-quality diagnostic images needed to provide physicians with clinical data to aid in establishing a diagnosis. Explains patient preparation patient scheduling procedure instructions and process to patients. Communicates and works with Radiologists and physicians in a manner that improves patient care.
What youll need:
- Graduate of a two-year program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Certification or re-certification in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within three months of hire.
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS in OB or AB certification) or able to attain credentials within 1 year of hire. Once registered must maintain registry status in compliance with the CE requirements of their certifying organization for the imaging modality in which they perform services.
- Preferred: Bachelors degree from an accredited CAAHEP program
- Preferred: Registry in OB AB RDCS or RVT
- Preferred: One or more years of ultrasound experience. Registry in OB AB and RVT
- Preferred: Experience working with Epic and CHC PACS systems
