THE ROLE:
Our site in Chaska MN is seeking a Machinist to join our team.
This position is designed for high school students as part of the Youth Skills Training program in Minnesota. This position will support the machining function.
HOURS TO BE DETERMINED BASED ON STUDENTS SCHEDULE
WHAT YOULL DO:
Operates manual and CNC machines (vertical/horizontallathes mills grinders 5-axis machines) to produce precision partsin accordancewithworkorder specifications.
Safelyutilizescutting tools to perform minor corrective operations on machined products as needed.
Collaborates with machinists and machining supervisor toensure that production schedule ismetand any issues areescalated timely.
UsesSAP and other electronic systems to findrecordand generate documentation throughout theproductionprocess. Records all output and production data in ERP(Enterprise)systems andmaintaincompliance with all online training and documentation requirements.
Packages finished ordersin accordance withspecifications ensuring proper protection and handling.
Performs manual and CNC machine preventative maintenance tasks(checking/filling oilvacuumingchangingfiltersetc)andotherhousekeeping duties.
Ensures product is consistent with established specifications through Camline byutilizingdifferent measuring tools such as calipers and drop/ issuestosupervisor or toqualitydepartmentas the highest possible product quality and adherence to the Entegris quality policyISOand/or other standards.
Finalizes all required paperwork thoroughly andtimely( Reports Rack Tickets LabelsComponentSheets Rework Sheets SAP Transactions etc.).Maintainsaccurateattribute/variable charts of rejected materials.
Integrates on all key business processes to influence customer satisfaction waste elimination growth costeffectivenessand product/system and implementsuseof continuous improvement tools toeliminatenon-value actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s Kaizen events etc.
Maintains a clean and safe work area. Performs duties in a safe manner andobservesapproved safety potential hazardsimmediatelyto supervisor.
Completes miscellaneous tasks assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
WHAT WE SEEK:
Must be a high school student and have the right to work in the US without sponsorship.
At least one (1) year ofpreviousexperience working in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Basic computer and data entry skills.
Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team setting.
High attention to detail and commitment tomaintaininghigh-quality standards.
Proven ability to execute manufacturing processes within a tight tolerance.
Ability to understand documented processes and proceduresindicatedin engineeringblueprints.
Must be able to stand and walk for50% of the shift.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
Work is performed in an environment with moderate to high noise levels. Hearing protectionmay berequiredwhile on duty.
Must be able to use measuring devices (Calipers measuring tape) and role involves periodic pinching and grasping of handtools.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)is required tobeworn at all timesin the manufacturing area. This includes safety glasses steel-toed shoes and high-visibility vests.

Compensation: $18-$20 hourly range
