Your key responsibilities

The Mechanical Equipment Department of Tractebel oversees the following tasks :

  • Expertise in mechanical components and related Codes & Standards
  • Procurement and qualification of mechanical Equipment and Nuclear Fuel
  • Quality Surveillance and manufacturing followup
  • Management of repair and replacement activities
  • In service Inspection and Ageing Management
  • Fuel Quality Control and Handling
  • Seism & Structural integrity

As a member of the Mechanical North France Team in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine you will have the opportunity to be involved with one of our clients. The team is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to operate within our clients engineering platform in coordination with our internal experts.

The mission involves the technical instruction of document surveillance activities related to the manufacturing and operation of mechanical equipmentsuch as pumps valves heat exchangers and other safety-class components.

The Mechanical Study Engineer is responsible for analyzing and validating technical documentation evaluating the impact of modifications on functional requirements qualification and regulatory compliance and reviewing manufacturer documentation to ensure completeness. The role involves coordinating with various client stakeholders operational units and suppliers to clarify technical issues.

You will be mainly in charge of the following activities:

  • Examination and approval of the Clients/Contractors technical manufacturing files of various mechanical equipment (valves and pumps heat exchangers piping etc.). You will verify from a quality control point of view the conformity of the fabrication documents to be in line with technical specifications construction codes and standards.
  • Provide technical expertise specifically related to manufacturing welding and metallurgy related questions.
  • Support the organization with quality control expertise and become quality control lead in support on one or multiple projects.

We would love to hear from people with

  • Basic education : Masters degree (Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent
  • Minimum years of experience : 2 years in the nuclear sector / industrial sector
  • Core skills : Mechanical Engineering
  • Additional skills : communication autonomous pro-active flexible stress resistant rigorous
  • Core knowledge : Manufacturing Processes Mechanical pressure equipment
  • Additional knowledge : Operation of nuclear power plants EDF processes welding processes metallurgy etc.
  • Software proficiency : Microsoft Office suite
  • Standards : RCC-M RSE-M ASME CODAP CODETI
  • Sector experience : Nuclear Mechanical Industry Energy
  • Language / Level : French English (B2)
