Job Summary

The Content & Writing Assistant supports Redbird Flight Plan by creating clear student-friendly written content that reinforces program ideas outside of live events.

This role focuses on writing editing and tonehelping translate workshops concepts and reflections into approachable content that align with student interests and capture student attention.

Redbird Flight Plan is a campus program focused on helping students feel more grounded and confident about everyday money decisions. The work emphasizes clarity stability and reducing stress through approachable content conversations and campus programmingrather than technical instruction or financial advice.

No background in finance or business is required for this position; the work focuses on communication organization and supporting fellow students rather than technical financial content.

Important Information for Applicants

This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable an employment history review based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review. Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held.

International students are restricted by their visa status to no more than 20 hours per week of on-campus employment when the university is in session but may work more when the university is not in session.
