Summary:
The expectation of this position is to provide support by serving as the communication channel between the company and growers in order to achieve production objectives. The essential functions of this position include: achieving flock production objectives; facilitating communication between Cobb and growers; maintaining flock health status; providing technical support; achieving flock genetic objectives; and communicating effectively with other company departments.
Requirements:
Education:
Requires broad knowledge in a general professional field normally acquired through four (4) years of college resulting in a bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience:
Three (3) or more years of poultry management-related experience.
Computer Skills:
Standard computer skills are required. This position requires experience working with Excel spreadsheets and data within several other computer applications.
Travel:
Minimal domestic travel required.
Physical Requirements:
Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop; and talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):
When visiting facilities the team member is expected to follow required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
Biosecurity:
The jobsite is a biosecurity environment that requires showering before entering the facility and may require multiple showers during the workday. Appropriate clothing and footwear are provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. The team member must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid contact with any avian species (including chickens ducks and other birds). The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times and the team member must adhere to all Cobb Farm and Hatchery Biosecurity Standards.
