Join Downers Energy & Utilities team as a Gas Crew Member. Youll help with construction maintenance and fault response on gas mains and services across the Adelaide network.

Core Responsibilities

• Fixing breakdowns leaks and completing minor construction work
• Responding to emergency jobs during and after hours
• Following all Downer client and safety procedures
• Working with the team to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Taking direction from Team Leaders and Supervisors
• Helping organise and install materials for field work

Emergency Response

• Assisting with Level 15 emergency situations
• Attending site assessing the issue and following emergency procedures
• Completing emergency repairs to keep gas supply safe and operational
• Participating in a rotating 24/7 oncall roster with callouts outside normal hours

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience working within excavation landscaping or outdoor work with previous Gas Civil or utilities experience
• Experienced in the safe use of hand tools and equipment required to perform physically demanding tasks
• Strong focus on teamwork and safety
• Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical
• Must be clean shaven for safety reasons

Mandatory Requirements:

• Construction Induction White Card
• Driver Licence (MR HR MC or relevant Truck Licence

Desirable Requirements:

• First Aid Certificate
• High-Risk Work Licence
• Confined Space Ticket Within the last 2 years
• GAS Testing Ticket Within the last 2 years
• First Attack Fire Fighting
