Registered Nurse (RN) Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) - Travel Position (with $7500 Completion Bonus)

Pay:$2255.76/week(plus $2500 completion bonus per contract up to $7500 after three contracts)
Job Summary:
The CVICU Registered Nurse provides specialized critical care to patients recovering from complex cardiovascular surgeries and procedures including open-heart surgery heart transplants and advanced cardiac interventions. This role requires expert knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring vasoactive medication administration and advanced life-support techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill cardiovascular patients in an intensive care setting.
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic parameters cardiac rhythms and ventilator settings.
- Administer and titrate vasoactive medications antiarrhythmics and other critical care drugs.
- Manage invasive lines (central lines arterial lines) chest tubes and temporary pacing wires.
- Respond promptly to emergencies including cardiac arrest and rapid deterioration.
- Collaborate with cardiothoracic surgeons intensivists and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on post-operative care and recovery expectations.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Adhere to infection control safety protocols and hospital policies.
Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associate or Bachelors degree in Nursing).
- Licensure: Current RN license in State.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Required
- Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
- Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of recent CVICU or cardiac ICU experience required.
Skills & Competencies:
- Expertise in cardiovascular physiology and critical care interventions.
- Strong proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and rhythm interpretation.
- Ability to manage high-acuity patients and respond effectively in emergencies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand walk and assist with patient care for extended periods.
- Manual dexterity for operating critical care equipment.
