Role Overview

The Performing Arts Technician will provide technical and logistical support for Drama and Music productions and lessons.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up lighting and sound equipment for performances

  • Operating technical systems during live productions

  • Maintaining and servicing stage equipment

  • Supporting rehearsals and practical lessons

  • Managing inventory of costumes props and technical equipment

  • Conducting safety checks and risk assessments

  • Assisting with recording and digital media production

  • Supporting external performance events

  • Preparing staging and technical layouts

  • Advising staff and students on technical solutions

The role requires technical expertise flexibility for evening events and strong organisational skills.

Performing Arts Department

The department delivers Drama and Music from KS3 to KS5 and is highly regarded within the local community. The technician plays a vital role in ensuring productions run smoothly and safely.
