Job Description: Technical Manager
Location: Richmond VA; Government On-Site
Position Overview
The Manager serves as the primary on-site lead and single point of contact between the US Government Agency and the Contractor. This individual is responsible for the technical and administrative coordination of all IT work orders and the overall management of contractor resources to ensure the uninterrupted performance of all tasks defined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Key Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Establish clear organizational lines of authority and responsibility to ensure effective management of resources assigned to the requirement.
- Contract Coordination: Attend meetings conferences and in-progress reviews (IPRs) relating to the management and execution of the contract.
- Personnel Oversight: Manage a workforce of technical staff ensuring all employees possess the necessary skills knowledge and training to perform IT services.
- Emergency Response: Remain available to meet with Government representatives at a specified worksite within two hours of notification for emergencies occurring after normal duty hours.
- Reporting: Oversight of all contract deliverables including Weekly Progress Reports Monthly Summary Reports (MSR) and Quarterly Status Reports (QSR).
- Quality & Security: Develop and implement a Quality Control Plan (QCP) and a Physical Security Plan in accordance with Agency regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field of study.
- Experience: A minimum of eight (8) years of management related experience in an IT environment.
- Technical Proficiency: Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Windows-based environments including Windows 11 and Office 365.
- Management Skills: Proven ability to manage technical teams coordinate subcontractor efforts and mitigate Organizational Conflicts of Interest (OCI)
