Job Role: Dance Teacher
Location: DLF Phase 1 Gurgaon
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching & Learning
- Plan and conduct engaging dance classes for Pre-Primary Primary and Middle school students.
- Introduce students to a variety of dance forms suitable for young ages (creative movement basic classical/folk steps contemporary rhythm exercises).
- Integrate dance with themes from the curriculum.
- Use child-friendly teaching methods that promote expression imagination and motor-skill development.
- Maintain a safe inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Curriculum & Lesson Planning
- Develop structured lesson plans aligned with the schools progressive pedagogy and CBSE co-scholastic guidelines.
- Create rubrics for assessments focusing on participation rhythm coordination and creativity rather than performance alone.
- Introduce simple warm-up techniques stretching posture and movement fundamentals.
Events & Performances
- Prepare students for assemblies school events cultural celebrations and dance showcases.
- Choreograph age-appropriate dance routines that highlight student abilities.
Collaboration & Communication
- Participate in staff meetings professional development sessions and school committees.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Performing Arts / Dance / Fine Arts or equivalent certification.
- Training in classical/folk/contemporary dance (any recognised form).
- Prior experience teaching young children (preferably in a school).
- Energetic child-friendly and creative approach to teaching.
- Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate pedagogy.
- Good communication skills and teamwork.
