OU Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) works to bring in the next generation of Sooners. Our team operates from Norman as well as across the state nation and world. We provide support to incoming domestic and international freshman and transfer students as they navigate the college application and decision process. Additionally we partner with parents counselors and communities in providing resources to students interested in higher goal is to build a vibrant community with limitless potential by recruiting the most academically qualified students with a variety of educational service involvement and community experiences.

Essential Duties:

  • Performs routine records processing duties following specific rules and instruction.
  • Maintains files and processes admissions applications where coding may be predetermined and ensures all Forms are accurate.
  • Reviews and evaluates applications for admission in a timely and accurate manner ensuring adherence to institutional guidelines
  • Updates and maintains data and databases.
  • Interacts electronically with customers in regards to University policies and procedures.
  • Processes various reports and queries to obtain relevant data and uses computer systems/programs under general supervision.
  • Handles individual projects by organizing analyzing and processing compiled data.
  • Receive and organize supporting application materials submitted to the Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR); digitize and classify supporting documentation in admissions CRM.
  • Use CRM to search for duplicate student and organization records and designate for merging.
  • Procure documents from partnering higher education document vendors.
  • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
