Role Overview
The Medical Officer (MO) will support the delivery of high-quality patient-centred clinical services across Suniti Solomon Centres healthcare facilities. Working under the supervision of the Chief/Senior Medical Officer the MO will provide both outpatient and inpatient medical care assist in clinical coordination and ensure adherence to the Foundations standards of excellence in service delivery ethics and compassion.
The role will also involve introducing consultant-led practices extending clinic operating hours co-ordinating regular clinical review meetings and supporting inpatient care within the Foundations clinical wing whilst ensuring that clinical practice and patient care remain aligned with current and emerging industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct clinical consultations physical examinations diagnosis and treatment following approved clinical protocols.
- Provide follow-up care and ensure continuity of treatment for chronic and acute conditions.
- Support the introduction and scheduling of consultant medical practices to expand the range of available specialities.
- Assist in extending clinic operating hours to improve accessibility for patients and enhance service reach.
- Participate in regular clinical review meetings to discuss patient management treatment plans and service quality improvements.
- Manage inpatient admissions and support the inpatient wing by providing clinical care monitoring patient progress and ensuring multidisciplinary coordination.
- Supervise the implementation of clinical protocols infection control measures and patient safety practices.
- Ensure accurate documentation in patient records registers and electronic systems while maintaining confidentiality.
- Assist in planning and conducting health camps outreach services and teleconsultations to expand service delivery.
- Support the maintenance of medicine inventory and ensure rational prescription practices.
- Participate in clinical audits continuous quality improvement initiatives and training programmes.
- Collaborate with partner hospitals laboratories and referral networks for specialised care and diagnostic support.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief/Senior Medical Officer or management in line with the Foundations clinical and public health objectives.
Performance Milestones and Indicator:
Within 60 Days
| - Complete induction and familiarisation with SSCs clinical protocols and service standards.
- Conduct a baseline review of patient flow and operational systems.
- Participate in at least one clinical review meeting and contribute to recommendations for improvement.
| - 100% completion of induction modules and clinical orientation checklist.
- Submission of baseline report with actionable recommendations approved by the Chief/Senior Medical Officer.
- Documented participation and at least one implemented recommendation from review discussions.

Within 180 Days
| - Demonstrate independent management of outpatient consultations.
- Support in implementing extended operating hours and consultant sessions.
- Participate in at least two outreach or health awareness initiatives.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of records and compliance 95%.
| - Minimum of 25 independently managed consultations per week with 95% documentation accuracy.
- At least one new consultant-led session introduced and extended clinic schedule operationalised.
- Active involvement in planning and delivery of two initiatives with post-event reports submitted
- Monthly audit showing 95% compliance with documentation and reporting standards.

- Achieve 85% patient satisfaction in feedback surveys.
- Contribute to the successful operation of the inpatient wing.
- Participate in quality audits and demonstrate measurable improvements in service delivery.
- Contribute to staff mentoring and training initiatives.
| - 85% overall satisfaction score across patient surveys with improvement in feedback trends over time.
- Demonstrated participation in at least 20 inpatient care episodes with positive review from the Chief/Senior Medical Officer.
- At least one implemented quality improvement initiative leading to measurable improvement in clinical outcomes or workflow efficiency.
- Participation in at least two internal training sessions or clinical case discussions per quarter.

Qualifications & Skills
- MBBS degree from a recognised institution; valid registration with the Medical Council of India / State Medical Council.
- 47 years of post-internship clinical experience in outpatient or hospital settings.
- Experience in general medicine family practice or primary care preferred.
- Proficiency in English Hindi and at least one South Indian language.
- High standards of ethics empathy and patient confidentiality.
Desirable Attributes
- Dedicated and compassionate clinician with sound judgement and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients and colleagues.
