Job Summary
Position Summary
The Director of Graduate Admissions leads the strategies that recruits engage and enroll highly qualified graduate students. The Director is a key member of the admissions leadership team and reports to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Direct and implement the recruitment plan for graduate enrollment. Assess and evaluate the most effective recruitment initiatives. - Hire train supervise encourage professional development and evaluate 2-3 full time professional staff members. - Meet with and counsel prospective students; provide admissions and program information and respond to inquires and follow up with prospects in a timely manner. - Coordinate with the Director of Marketing on the development of strategic marketing engagement and recruitment plan for graduate enrollment. - Develop target market profiles for each program; plan and purchase list buys and student search campaigns including mailings emails and calling campaigns. - Communicate with graduate faculty Marketing and Communications and web services for review and updates of all graduate admissions marketing materials. - Coordinate on campus/off campus recruiting activities for all graduate programs and travel to various recruiting admissions and community based events to market graduate admissions to prospective students. - Assist with annual assessments. - Evaluate applications and transcripts in order to recommend admissions decisions. - Develop relationships and communication with all graduate program directors and meet with them regularly to collaborate on enrollment strategies for graduate programs. - Identify and develop community businesses to grow graduate enrollment. - Collaborate with the Office of Institutional Research Deans and Program Directors to forecast graduate admissions enrollments forecasts and credit hours for fall spring and summer terms.
