Daisy Chain is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team adult services team. This role will be the first point of contact for autistic young people and adults accessing our service managing referrals and ensuring individuals are directed to the most appropriate support. You will also provide essential administrative assistance to ensure the smooth running of the service.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the guidance of the Service Manager you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to a newly established team. A key part of this role will be managing referrals efficiently ensuring that autistic young people and adults (16) are directed to the most appropriate support. The service will accept referrals from individuals living in Durham with a formal autism diagnosis as well as those on the waiting list for assessment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Register new referrals to the service via telephone using the CRM system.
  • Receive all incoming calls to the service and triage appropriately transfer calls ortake messages as necessary.
  • Manage the service inbox daily.
  • Schedule and book workshops and appointments and manage the teams calendars.
  • Attend group sessions out in the community as required to support with registrations and make refreshments.
  • Ensure all service literature is kept up to date and promote the service through
    agreed channels.
  • Attend team meetings record actions and distribute minutes.
  • Support with the preparation of reports statistics and case studies as and when re-quired.
  • Support the team with the making and posting of welcome packs service
    information visuals and resources.
  • Contribute towards the protection of individuals from abuse by adhering to Daisy Chains Child and At-Risk Adults Safeguarding policies at all times
  • Ensure confidentiality is maintained and that Daisy Chains GDPR Policy is adhered to at all times.

Person Specification

Experience:

  • Previous experience in an office environment E
  • Experience of safeguarding with a good understanding of safeguarding protocols and policies E
  • Experience working with and providing support to autistic and neurodivergent individuals and their families - D

Qualifications

  • Educated to GCSE Level E
  • Relevant level 3 qualification or equivalent experience E

Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills E
  • Ability to liaise with a wide range of individuals including professionals parents and colleagues E
  • Ability to work flexibly and responsively in a busy and challenging environment E
  • Competent user of IT packages E
