Job Summary


Education Qualifications Accreditation Training:

  • Full-Time Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
  • MME (Ministry of Municipality and Environment) engineering accreditation is a mandatory not holding this accreditation must be willing to achieve this within the probationary period.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status or undertaking the same will be an advantage

Industry Specific Experience:

  • Must have vast experience in Electrical design and engineering of oil & gas / large industrial projects in Offshore projects.
  • Experience in brown fields & asset services type project / contracts.
  • Qatar project experience with knowledge of Kahramaa standards is preferred.
  • Mandatory experience in details design engineering projects from O & Gas consultancies.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in relevant meetings prepare progress reports and comply with required checking procedures.
  • Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes.
  • Provide advice during procurement construction and commissioning activities. For example oversee requisitions technical bid evaluations and purchase order preparation.
  • Ensures team member adherence to accepted engineering and design practices regulatory requirements and customer specifications.
  • Supports the standardization of equipment specifications drawings and document templates.
  • Contributes to the understanding of technical knowledge legal requirements and customer specifications whenever viable and lawful.
  • Uses local/global standards to support technical excellence.
  • Provide specialist technical support supervision and advice to the discipline and project teams; participate in peer reviews.
  • Supports management of project change and progressing for the discipline and works with the Project Management Team to take corrective actions regarding any issues staffing requirements scope changes progressing or other events that could affect project completion and/or profitability.
  • Collaborates with project team in review of project documentation such as proposals estimates budgets and schedules
  • Leads weekly Electrical meetings reviews progress reports and required checking procedures.

Manage electrical engineering services such as:

  • Participate in relevant meetings prepare progress reports and comply with required checking procedures;
  • Ensure the project scope is clear and that changes comply with project change management processes;
  • Provide advice during procurement construction and commissioning activities. For example oversee requisitions technical bid evaluations and purchase order preparation.
  • Act as the electrical engineering Lead on specific projects.

If responsible for a team:

  • Outline project requirements including actively promoting workshare where appropriate assign tasks and supervise progress; and
  • Ensure the required services meet Worley its customers and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements on time and within budget.
  • Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customers requirements.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest developments and technical innovations in electrical engineering.
  • If required assist and support junior personnel within the electrical engineering team.
  • Communicate effectively with the electrical engineering team and project stakeholders including the Customer.
  • Identify issues and problems develop appropriate solutions and ask for assistance when required.
