Calix Solutions Test team is recruiting an experienced Engineer. You will be part of the highly skilled testing team that ensures the quality and reliability of NMS (Network Management) systems.
The team focuses on end-to-end solutions automation and performance testing to guarantee seamless customer experiences across global markets.

Calix Solutions Test team is recruiting an experienced Engineer. You will be part of the highly skilled testing team that ensures the quality and reliability of NMS (Network Management) systems.
The team focuses on end-to-end solutions automation and performance testing to guarantee seamless customer experiences across global markets.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set daily work priorities independently while aligning with team and organizational goals.
- Develop test strategies for end-to-end customer deployment scenarios.
- Create and execute test cases to validate deployment scenarios and overall solutions; monitor results and report system issues.
- Perform regression scalability and compliance testing on new software and hardware.
- Reproduce field issues and verify resolutions.
- Understand test automation principles and tools (e.g. Selenium Cypress Playwright) and their role in CI/CD pipelines; interpret automation reports.
- Use traffic generators to simulate real-world traffic streams for video data and voice testing.
- Analyze log files to identify error conditions; troubleshoot and debug issues documenting faults clearly in issue-tracking systems.
- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams and third parties to analyze test results and field scenarios.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese within a global team environment.
- Bachelors degree in Telecommunications Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related technical field; masters degree preferred.
- 5 years of technical experience with NMS/EMS systems testing (Network and Element Management Systems).
- 5 years of API/GUI testing experience(must)
- Working experience with Layer 2/3 Ethernet networking protocols and technologies.
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies like GCP AWS Virtualization
- Experience testing user interfaces (e.g. SNMP Netconf).
- Strong ability to learn quickly adapt to change able to deliver in fast-paced environments.
- Detail-oriented organized and goal-focused.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to articulate problems clearly.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium Cypress Playwright etc.
- Experience with Telecom Access Products especially GPON/NGPON/XGS-PON technologies.
- Familiarity with packet capture tools (Wireshark tcpdump) wireline simulators and traffic generators.
- Hands-on experience with performance test tools (Spirent IXIA Abacus/Ameritec Ookla Speed Test Iperf).
- Experience with end-to-end testing of OLT-ONU (OMCI) interactions and troubleshooting.
