Purpose:
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Structural Designer. Our team includes world class experts and dynamic is a full-time position based in Sarnia Ontario.
Deliver structural design and drafting services that meet Worley the client and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Working on a variety of Petro Chemical project to deliver design drawings and final construction/detail drawings for engineering projects.
- Ensuring drawing packages are delivered within the project time schedule.
- Participate in design review sessions.
- Coordinating work with other related discipline engineers and designers.
- Ensure compliance with QA/safety/environment goals.
- Promote productivity enhancing initiatives to positively influence the project execution and/or design;
- Prepare 2D drawings (cut from 3D model or draft) including general arrangement plans sections and details.
- Prepare structural Material Take-offs.
- Prepare as-built drawings.
- Review shop drawings.
- Site travel as required by project.
What you will bring:
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Minimum 15 years experience working on Petro Chemical and mining/industrial projects. modelling steel and concrete structures;
- Proficiency with S3D Plant 3D Advance Steel and Cadworx 3D modelling experience an absolute must.;
- Knowledge of other 3D softwares will be an asset.
- Strong communication skills;
- To work without direct supervision and to be able to provide advice and direction to other designers.
Education Qualifications Accreditation Training:
Required:
- Technical Diploma in Civil/Structural.
For applicants based in the province of Ontario the salary range is $95000 to $128000.
Application of the pay band: Variation in salary is determined by factors such as the candidates qualifications relevant years of experience geographic location internal pay equity and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
