We are seeking a Data Systems Engineering intern to support on-site IT initiatives at our Plymouth Michigan office. During this internship your key responsibilities will include:
- Support data ingest storage and transfer activities
- Archival data compression and transfer from NAS (network attached storage)
- Assist with the management and upkeep of our business units server rooms at the Plymouth facility
- Support technical vehicle data management software development
- Support IT cost savings initiatives
Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program in Engineering Computer Science Data Systems Mathematics or a related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software and networking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Prior exposure to cloud compute
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Ability to commit to a minimum 6-month internship period (20 hours per week)
- This role will be in Plymouth MI.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to new challenges
