Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Critical Care (ED/ICU Holding Unit)
Location - Syracuse NY
Position Overview
Seeking experienced day shift Registered Nurses for an Adult ED/ICU Holding Unit. Candidates must have strong ICU experience and be able to function independently in a high-acuity fast-paced environment. Emergency Department experience EPIC EMR exposure and Level I or II trauma experience are highly preferred.
Schedule Requirements
Day Shift
Every other weekend required
Some holidays required
Set schedules are enforced
Time off exceeding 7 days will not be approved
Required Qualifications
Current New York State RN License (required)
BLS certification (must be current and maintain recertification)
Minimum 2 years of ICU experience (required)
Minimum 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity
Travelers must have experience in hospitals of equal or greater size or trauma centers
Strong nursing assessment skills in an acute care/critical care setting
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Must not have had a professional license or certification suspended or under investigation
Must not have been named as a defendant in a professional liability claim
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Successful completion of pre-employment health clearance
Subject to drug screening and criminal background check
Highly Desired Experience
Level I or Level II trauma hospital experience
EPIC Electronic Medical Records experience
Emergency Department (ED) experience
