Iberia Payroll Specialist

At NielsenIQ it is important for us to be connected in many ways.  As part of the Global Payroll Center of Excellence the Payroll Analyst will play a critical role in delivering Payroll Services across our Europe Region. This incumbent will work cross-functionally with HR and other internal and external Stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely salaries of associates whilst also identifying and executing continuous improvements to processes. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
 

• Monthly Payroll processing activities ensure pay is processed on time accurately completely and in compliance with all regulations.
• Deliver all year end payroll processes.
• Ensure all SOX compliant controls relevant to the payroll process are executed
• Support with internal and external audit and tax-related activities including preparation of data and evidence as required
• Support with Finance and HR queries
• Build positive relationships to ensure successful collaborations to be able to respond to internal payroll questions and handle ad-hoc payroll requests.
• Collaborating closely with key stakeholders to resolve any payroll-related issues and ensure consistent communication.
• Support with payroll and ad hoc reports as required
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll operational experience in Spain and Portugal is mandatory. 
• Understanding of Spanish and Portuguese payroll legislation.
• Fluency in English; Spanish and Portuguese highly valued.
• SAP / Workday / Strada vendor experience a plus
• Experience across other Western European countries will be an added advantage
• Attention to detail professional awareness and sense of urgency for employee questions; be able to spot errors or exceptions quickly.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communicator and collaborator.
