Day to day you will:
- Compile and edit hourly and half-hourly news bulletins with precision.
- Conduct insightful interviews and gather content from various sources.
- Deliver live news bulletins in a clear professional and engaging manner.
- Collaborate with presenters and producers to communicate breaking stories.
- Share high-quality news content across our national radio network.
- Make independent editorial decisions using sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Work on a rotating five-day roster including some weekend and evening shifts.
Qualifications :
What youll bring:
- A tertiary qualification in journalism communications or a related field.
- Prior experience in a broadcast environment with a focus on live reading.
- Exceptional writing skills and a sharp eye for meticulous detail.
- The ability to simplify complex issues into clear relatable audio stories.
- A strong understanding of Media Law and impartial reporting standards.
- Proven time management skills and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
- A valid drivers licence and the flexibility to cover local breaking news.
