Job Summary

Description

Using project management best practices the Project Lead develops and manages the technical financial and administrative aspects of a non-complex or small portfolio to ensure they are administered and implemented in a manner consistent with CRDF Global and funder objectives.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Plansand executes projects using project management best practicesfor scope of work developmentdeliverable managementschedule managementrisk management change managementmonitoring and evaluationandidentificationand resolution of issues and lessons learned.
  • Develops and manages project budgets;coordinates with pricing and functional teams to price budgetsconductslabor and other direct costforecastingandleadsfinancialriskand changemanagementprocesses.
  • Manages customer technical expert and internationalstakeholder relationshipsand networks on behalf of the program.
  • Leadstechnical and financial reporting of projects to meet the stated project program and agreementobjectives.
  • Develops concepts and new project ideas as part ofcapture andproposal development process.
  • Represents program or projects at external events.
  • Supports other programs and staff as required.
  • Travels within Jordan. and internationally as appropriate .
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3 yearsexperience managingprojects with components includingany of the following:internationalworkshops trainings conferencesstudy toursfellowshipswebinars/remotetrainingor similar capacity-building efforts.
  • Bachelors degree in or PMP certificationpreferred.
  • Previousexperience supportingU.S. Government clients particularlythe of State (DOS) preferred.
  • Familiaritypreferredwithinternational nonproliferationcounter-proliferation WMD threat reduction advanced and emerging technologiesor similar issues.
  • Demonstrates strongcustomer relationship managementcommunication diplomatic and negotiating skills and good judgment.
  • Excellent organizationalskillsability to meet deadlines.
  • Exhibits strong writing and proposal development skills.
  • Familiarity with other countries and cultures ability to work withinmatrixedglobal team.
  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Word Excel PowerPointand ability to work with more advanced software such as MicrosoftProjectis preferred.
  • Strong command of written and spoken English
