A respected multi-practice law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with significant experience in real estate litigation. This role will primarily focus on real estate disputes while also supporting broader litigation matters within the firm. The ideal candidate will have 6 years of experience handling real estate litigation; experience in business litigation is a plus.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active membership in the State Bar of California
- 6 years of litigation experience with demonstrated focus on real estate disputes
- Strong knowledge of the California Code of Civil Procedure Evidence Code and relevant provisions of the Civil Code and Business & Professions Code
- Ability to manage cases from inception through resolution with general supervision
- Ability to independently identify legal issues and develop litigation strategies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and document preparation
- Draft pleadings discovery requests and related legal documents with attention to detail
- Prepare for and participate in settlement negotiations hearings and trials
Location
This position may be based in the Silicon Valley (San Jose) or Tri-Valley (Pleasanton) office. Travel between offices may be required.
Compensation & Benefits
The annual base salary range is $200000$215000 depending on experience qualifications and skill set.
