Job Summary

Calix Functional Test Teamis recruiting a Experienced Systems Test Engineerin Nanjing China. The successful candidate will perform test design and execution activities including:
- Verification of Access Switch/ONU Layer 2 protocol capacity/stress/robustness/performance testing
- Testing against specifications and customer use cases of our access product portfolio including Ethernet and GPON/NGPON/XGSPON/AE technologies
Responsibilities:
- Perform service test of various access products including ONT and OLT
- Perform Layer2 function test such as: LAG ERPS-RING DHCPv4/v6 PPPoE LLDP LACP G.8032 Y.1731 OAM NE SDN etc.
- Perform systems test such as scaling capacity stress robustness performance etc.
- Participate in the development of the test strategy and create test cases for GPON/NGPON/XGSPON/AE
- Evaluate hardware and software features by documenting automating and executing feature and system level test cases
- Setup and maintain the automation test bench automate test cases for new product requirements
- Perform regression testing on new software and hardware for data VoIP video QoS
- Write clear concise and understandable problem descriptions and test reports
- Reproduce field issues and validate their resolution
- Collaborate with global team to understand testing requirements and provide feedback on the architecture and designs
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering Telecommunication Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Masters degree preferred)
- Over 5 years of system testing experience in the network industry
- Solid testing experience with technologies such as LAG ERPS-RING DHCPv4/v6 PPPoE LLDP LACP G.8032 Y.1731 OAM etc.
- Strong test skills on large multi-processor-based systems
- Extensive experience with scaling tests
- Proficiency in automation skills: Linux Shell/Python
- Strong verbal and written English skills
