The Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta Sedation Services are recruiting full-time or part-time board certified or board eligible pediatric emergency medicine (PEM) physicians or pediatric critical care (PCCM) physicians to join our practice at the Emory Childrens Pediatric Institute.

Qualifications
Qualified applicants will have completed an ACGME-accredited fellowship in pediatric emergency medicine or pediatric critical care medicine.

Job Description

New faculty members will join Sedation Services at Arthur M. Blank Hospital with a team of Pediatric Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Critical Care physicians. Full-time or part-time options available. Additionally hybrid positions within the Divisions of either Pediatric Emergency Medicine or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine are available.

Sedation physicians will cover a variety of areas including the Aflac Cancer Center Special Procedures and Radiology. At home call is limited to Sunday call only.

  • The Sedation Service at Arthur M. Blank Hospital is one of the largest in the Southeast sedating close to 4000 patients per year. This includes a combination of scheduled outpatients inpatients and emergent add-on cases.
    Childrens is one of the largest pediatric clinical care providers in the country with three hospitals 673 licensed beds and access to more than 60 pediatric specialties.
  • Childrens opened a brand new 446-bed Arthur M. Blank Hospital in September 2024.
  • Childrens has continually been named one of the best ranking as one of the nations Best Childrens Hospitals by U.S. News & World Report and one of the 100 Best Companies for working parents by Seramount in 2023.
    Through collaboration with neighboring academic and scientific institutions our staff is developing cutting edge technologies and treatments to address the most perplexing childhood medical questions.

  • Employment will be through the Emory Childrens Pediatric Institute an affiliation between Emory University and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta.
  • Faculty rank will be commensurate with experience.
