Job Summary
Job Description: Medical Billing & Coding Specialist
Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately assign medical codes to diagnoses and procedures for billing and insurance purposes
- Review medical records and ensure completeness and accuracy of information
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify diagnoses or procedures
- Submit claims to insurance companies and follow up on any disputed claims
- Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines
Essential Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Billing & Coding program
- Certification in Medical Billing & Coding (e.g. CPC CBCS)
- Knowledge of medical terminology anatomy and physiology
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary Range: $120000 - $130000 per year
