Fire Engineer Manchester
Our client is a leading Fire Engineering Consultancy headquartered in Manchester with multiple offices across the UK. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work they are looking to appoint a Fire Engineer to join their established and expanding team.
Youll be working across a diverse range of sectors including commercial industrial healthcare residential retail and education collaborating with like-minded technical specialists who are passionate about innovation and delivering high-quality performance-based solutions.
Importantly the company actively supports professional development and Chartership (IFE or Engineering Council routes) providing structured mentoring funded training CPD support and clear progression pathways.
The Candidate
Were looking for someone with:
- 3 years relevant experience within Fire Engineering
- A degree in Fire Engineering or a related discipline
- Consultancy (or similar) experience
- Strong experience delivering fire-engineered solutions on UK-based projects
- Demonstrable hands-on technical experience
- Good knowledge of relevant UK codes standards and regulations
- Strong time and resource management skills
- Commercial awareness and the ability to build client relationships
- Flexibility to support wider business needs when required
Role & Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Taking on increasing project management responsibility across live projects and research initiatives
- Developing leadership capability with the aim of leading small-to-medium fire engineering projects
- Assisting in the development of fire strategies for large-scale developments
- Applying fire engineering principles to building and architectural design
- Reviewing fire engineering calculations including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis
- Supporting the specification of fire protection systems detection and suppression solutions
