Our client in the financial services sector is seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and support a hybrid environment that spans onprem infrastructure cloud platforms and businesscritical systems. Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy configure and maintain Windows/Linux servers (onprem & Azure)
- Administer virtualisation platforms server hardware and storage technologies
- Manage enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/VPN) switches routing and Azure connectivity
- Support Microsoft 365 Azure AD DNS SharePoint Online and Remote Desktop Services
- Manage VoIP/IP telephony and collaboration integrations
- Implement and oversee Veeam backup and disaster recovery
- Provide 2nd/3rd line support including afterhours escalation
- Maintain documentation configurations and technical reports
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure compliance and resilience
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Diploma/Degree in IT or a related field
- 5 years infrastructure engineering experience
- Strong knowledge of:
- Windows/Linux servers
- HyperV & failover clustering
- HP servers/switches/storage
- Azure cloud & hybrid networking
- Microsoft 365 & Azure AD
- IP Telephony & Veeam backup
- Solid understanding of networking TCP/IP and perimeter security
- Experience with ITSM processes and technical documentation
Advantageous:
- ITIL Microsoft AZ104/305 Linux Certifications HP/Aruba networking and Cisco CCNA/CCNP
