Due to expansion of student support services the school is seeking an experienced and motivated Pastoral Support Officer.
Role Overview
The Pastoral Support Officer will provide targeted intervention and mentoring to support students personal and academic development.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering one-to-one mentoring
Supporting behaviour improvement plans
Monitoring attendance and engagement
Liaising with parents and carers
Supporting safeguarding referrals
Assisting with reintegration processes
Working closely with Heads of Year
Promoting restorative practices
Maintaining accurate pastoral records
Supporting transition between key stages
The role requires empathy resilience and strong organisational skills.
Pastoral Team
The role sits within a structured pastoral team including the SENCO and Designated Safeguarding Lead. Regular meetings ensure coordinated support and early intervention.
