Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer the Vice President - Operations is the leader who drives and provides support to ensure the success of day-to-day this role the individual is responsible for inventory management procurement and equipment management.
Ideally this will be a hybrid role with a blend of at home/Columbus office work but we are open to fully remote depending on the location/candidate.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
- Supports operations-related strategy creation and execution of strategic and operational plans.
- Coaches and develops operations team.
- Communicates hospital information as appropriate through hospital network structure while working collaboratively to improve processes through leadership of large projects and initiatives to improve quality and efficiency.
- Responsible for capital budget process and support of operational expense budget compliance.
- Accountable for centralized hospital network purchasing of medical supplies pharmaceuticals blood medical equipment medical gases environmental supplies and office supplies
- Accountable for centralized maintenance of inventory levels and parameters and physical inventory processes in compliance with MedVet and accounting requirements
- Accountable for policies and procedures related to preventive maintenance calibration and equipment repair.
- Accountable for fiscally responsible practices for COGS management.
- Accountable for efficient and effective performance of inventory and procurement systems.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Our ideal candidate has a minimum of 15 years experience in Hospital Operations Management. Experience in the healthcare and/or veterinary industry is a plus but not addition this position requires:
- Masters degree and/or Lean Six Sigma experience strongly preferred.
- Must be fully competent utilizing Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Word Excel PowerPoint. Experience with SharePoint and MS Teams. Ability to learn industry-specific programs is required.
- Must be a systems and strategic thinker who is versed at leading change and effectively mitigates and resolves conflict.
- Must have a professional demeanor problem-solving ability and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- 25% travel
The posted range for this position is $163600-$225000which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including prior experience current skills location/labor market internal equity etc.
