Key Responsibilities:

• Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

• Lead structural design of steel structures under seismic wind and snow loads using both local and international standards.

• Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers providing technical input reviewing work and fostering professional growth.

• Manage complex projects from design to erection ensuring timelines KPIs change management and quality standards are met.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Weir business units interdisciplinary teams and customers to deliver innovative compliant solutions.

• Drive technical excellence by reviewing third-party designs resolving site issues and ensuring alignment with specifications and best practices.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in civil engineering or Masters in Structural Engineering

• Minimum 10 years experience

• Experience on Steel structures design in minerals processing (preferred) projects bulk material handling projects or oil & gas industry or similar industry with steel structures supporting heavy mechanical equipment.

• Possess a strong foundation in structural analysis steel structure design and connection design including manual calculations and verification of structural elements such as bending and compression members.

• Familiarity with transport dimensions fabrication and erection processes mineral processing products and international safety standards for access structures like walkways and ladders.

• Proficient in dynamic analysis fatigue stress calculations and specialised areas such as bin/hopper design earthquake engineering and advanced materials.

• Skilled in structural analysis tools (e.g. Dlubal RFEM/RSTAB STAAD Pro SAP2000) connection design software (e.g. Idea Statica RAM Connections) MS Office 3D models viewers and CAD tools (e.g. AutoCAD Tekla).

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects independently adapt to new materials and methods and build strong client relationships across regional standards.
